Covid-19: Lagos cases exceed 7,000

  Confirmed cases of coronavirus have increased to 7,035 in Lagos State. This is after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced 195 new cases of COVID-19 in the state. Data from the NCDC showed that Lagos currently has 5,815 active cases of COVID-19. While 82 patients have died of coronavirus-related complications, 82 are dead. While making its announcement on Saturday, the NCDC said, “On the 13th of June 2020, 501 new confirmed cases and eight deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

Breaking: 501 New Covid-19 Cases In Nigeria, Total Now 15,682

Nigeria has recorded 501 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 15,682. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on Saturday. According to the NCDC, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has increased to 407. It said, “On the 13th of June 2020, 501 new confirmed cases and eight deaths were recorded in Nigeria. “No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours. “Till date, 15682 cases have been confirmed, 5,101 cases have been discharged and 407 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory. “The 501 new cases are reported from 24 states- Lagos (195) FCT (50) Kano (42) Kaduna(27) Edo (26) Oyo (22) Imo(21) Gombe (17) Benue (12) Enugu (12) Delta (11) Anambra(11) Ebonyi (10) Nasarawa (9) Ogun (9) Bauchi (8) Kebbi (4) Akwa Ibom (3) Jigawa (3) Katsina (3) Yobe (2) Borno (2) Kwara (1) Ondo (1)

Another Student Rape To Death in Akinyele, Oyo State

Another female student has reportedly been raped to death in Akinyele area of Ibadan. The news of her rape is currently trending on the social media. According to report, “Grace Oshiagwuc an ND1 student of The Oke Ogun Polytechnic Saki was raped to death at her parents’ residence around Idi Ori, Sasa, Ojoo of Akinyele local government.” But the police, in its reaction, said that “One Grace Oshiagwu ‘f’ aged 21 yrs, was macheted on her head in a church mission building at Idi-ori Area Shasha off Expressway by unknown assailant(s) today 13/06/2020 about 3.00 pm. ”Investigation has commenced into the matter and the Police Tactical teams are on the trail of the assailant(s). While efforts intensified, we want to continue to solicit for credible information from members of the communities around the area and the general public to unravel the misery behind these dastard killings.” Her corpse has been deposited at Adeoyo State Hospital Ring road, Ibadan, for autopsy.

Nigeria Records Another 627 New Covid-19 New cases, Total Now 15, 181

Nigeria’s coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, on Friday, increased to 15,181 as 627 new infections were announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). The NCDC disclosed this on its verified Twitter handle on Wednesday night. it also said that 229 of the new infections were recorded in Lagos. “On the 12th of June 2020, 627 new confirmed cases and 12 deaths were recorded in Nigeria. No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours. “Till date, 15181 cases have been confirmed, 4891 cases have been discharged and 399 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory. “The 627 new cases are reported from 23 states;  Lagos-229 FCT-65 Abia-54 Borno-42 Oyo-35 Rivers-28 Edo-28 Gombe-27 Ogun-21 Plateau-18 Delta-18 Bauchi-10 Kaduna-10 Benue-9 Ondo-8 Kwara-6 Nasarawa-4 Enugu-4 Sokoto-3 Niger-3 Kebbi-3 Yobe-1 Kano-1

Covid-19: Lagos Discharges 90 Covid19 Patients

Lagos state government has discharged 90 fully recovered Coronavirus patients; 30 females and 60, from its Isolation facilities to reunite with the society. The state government announced this on its twitter handle some minutes ago. The patients; 28 from Onikan, 9 from Eti-Osa (LandMark), 10 from Agidingbi, 5 from Gbagada, 2 from First Cardiology, 10 from Lekki and 26 from LUTH Isolation Centres were, discharged after testing negative to #COVID19, the state added.   With this, the number of COVID-19 cases successfully managed and discharged in Lagos has risen to 1137. The state however advised citizens to adhere strictly to Physical distancing and  hand hygiene.

I don't disrespect people in authority, Alaafin tells Makinde

Denies rift with governor over location of police squadron The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, has assured Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State of his support while governing the state, saying that it is not in his habit to disrespect people in authority.
